RCA First in State to Complete Full Pilot Review Process
Rockdale Career Academy participated in an extensive review process as part of a pilot for certification of charter and career academies. It is the first in the state to complete the joint certification, coordinated by the Technical College System of Georgia, the Georgia Department of Education-Charter Schools Division, and AdvancED (parent company of SACS).
AdvancEd Recommends Full Accreditation
An external review team of AdvancEd (parent company for SACS) recommended renewal of full accreditation for Rockdale County Public Schools after commending the district for having achieved high scores in all three components of the Index of Educational Quality through the analysis and evaluation of Impact of Teaching and Learning, Leadership Capacity, and Resource Utilization.
RCA Again Named AP Honor School
All RCPS High Schools and Rockdale Career Academy were named Advanced Placement (AP) Honor Schools for the fourth consecutive year by
Georgia State School Superintendent Dr. John Barge. “I congratulate our students, teachers and administrators for this outstanding recognition,” Superintendent Richard Autry said.
